Autism testing in adults, including use of neuropsychological testing battery, to support effective diagnosis and treatment planning.

Objectives:

    Learning Objectives

    At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

    1. Select appropriate test battery to identify/rule out ASD in adults based upon presenting/comorbid concerns.

    2. Recognize considerations needed to interpret test results in the context of complex presentation of ASD in adulthood.

    3. Apply current recommendations for ASD testing based upon required PPE during COVID-19.

      About Dr. Caroline Grantz:

      Caroline J. Grantz, PhD, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist board eligible in Clinical Neuropsychology who is affiliated with UCLA and has a private practice in Los Angeles. She specializes in first time Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis in adolescents and adults as well as neuropsychological testing in this population to support effective treatment planning related to post-secondary education and employment. Dr. Grantz also provides evidence-based psychotherapy to adults with ASD using the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Originally from California, Dr. Grantz completed her graduate training at the University of Miami and her APA-accredited Internship at Rush University Medical Center before coming back to the West Coast for Fellowship at Oregon Health & Sciences University. She relocated to Southern California in 2016 and has been happily enjoying sunshine and all the delicious food she remembers from her childhood!
