Neuropsychology Forum

The Northern California Neuropsychology Forum (NCNF) is a California non-profit public benefit corporation. With more than 600 members, the Forum hosts seminars and conferences focused on advances in neuropsychological science and clinical practice.

The NCNF is approved by the American Psychological Association to provide continuing education credits for clinical psychologists. Additionally, NCNF is authorized by the state of California to offer continuing education credits for Qualified Medical Examiners (QME). Please see the California Board of Psychology website for details on reporting CE units.

NCNF is led by an all-volunteer Executive Board who donate their time and efforts in support of the organization.

The following positions are open for the upcoming year:


The president-elect position's term is one year long (2023-2024) and followed by a one year term as president (2024-2025) and one year term as past president (2025-2026). Three year commitment total. Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with planning of seminars
  • Assist with other assignments on the board as needed
  • Attend monthly board meetings via Zoom
  • Recommend people to fill vacancies on the board


The secretary's term is two years long (2023-2025). Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and distribute minutes
  • Field and respond to general inquiries
  • Receives new member applications and arranges for approval of new members
  • Organize nominations and voting
  • Maintains membership roster on website 
  • Updates mailing list as necessary
  • Invites new members to join the listerv
  • Attends monthly board meetings via Zoom

Treasurer (treasurer-elect)

The treasurer's term is two years long. We are currently recruiting for the 2024-2026 term. Individual would be expected to shadow/train with the current treasurer intermittently throughout 2023. Responsibilities (once term begins) include:

  • Provide the board with profit and loss statement after every event and at the end of the fiscal year
  • Manage payments by members for membership and event registration
  • Reimburse board members for expenditures for the organization
  • Pay annual dues, fees, etc. for organization
  • Lead planning of annual budget
  • Keeps records of event payment and deposit of receipts
  • Submit tax documentation when appropriate
  • Attends monthly board meetings via Zoom

Member at Large

The member at large's term is two year's long (2023-2025). Responsibilities are split between two members at large and include:

  • Review new applications and announce new members
  • Represent membership's interests on the board
  • Distribute rating forms and CE certificates at seminars
  • Collect and maintain information for annual APA CE sponsorship application
  • Attend monthly board meetings via Zoom
  • Purchase food and drinks for in-person events


Qualifications to apply for one of our open board positions include:

  • Licensed psychologist or a doctoral degree in psychology
  • NCNF membership not required to apply
  • Works well with a team
