Inpatient Consult-Liaison Psychologist (C&L Psychologist): The Inpatient Consult Liaison Psychologist provides assessment, symptom management, and brief psychotherapy to medically ill patients hospital wide. The C&L psychologist works closely with the C&L psychiatrist(s) and provides direct consultation to attending physicians and the treatment team. The work includes but is not limited to capacity evaluations for medical decision-making, use of bedside cognitive assessments, writing 5150 holds within county guidelines, development of behavior plans with medically ill patients who may also have cognitive or psychiatric diagnoses, and assisting treatment teams in the implementation of behavior plans.
